When we purchased a house with obstructed access to its 'walk-in' attic, I hired an architect and structural engineer to advise us on how to make the storage space more usable; they referred me to Cormier Construction to execute the plan. Tim and his crew reconfigured attic beams blocking the entry and completed the undertaking within a tight time frame to accommodate our moving date. We went on to do many more projects with Tim over several months to update and renovate our house and were unfailingly impressed with his knowledge and expertise, his customer service attitude and responsiveness, and his practical advice. He often suggested alternative approaches to what I initially envisioned to produce an equal or better outcome at lower cost. He was also patient with my ever-expanding list of projects. Tim has totally earned our confidence and trust and each of his crew members is highly skilled in their particular area(s), and is punctual and polite. The projects he completed for us include: - Renovation of bathroom to remove tub and install curbless walk-in shower(house built on slab); add tall storage cabinet to fill awkward indentation in bathroom and utilize wasted space; add recessed medicine cabinets with mirror fronts in other bathrooms - Add utility sink and work counter with cabinets above and below as washing station in garage for our miniature dog; add utility closet and cabinets for extra storage; create drop zone and area to hang jackets and store boots; epoxy garage floor. - Replace exhaust system over cooktop and redesign hood to accommodate; add pull-outs to kitchen cabinets; replace tile backsplash behind cooktop. - Upgrade HVAC system and add fan in attic -Remove carpeting in bonus room over garage and install vinyl flooring -Replace vast majority of light fixtures and ceiling fans - Performed numerous other small projects such as painting, hanging mirrors and pictures, upgrading fixtures.

I needed a ground floor bedroom to accommodate my Alzheimers afflicted mother in law to live with us. The scope of the work was a sun room/bedroom, full bath with lip-less shower, screen porch and kitchen update. The project took about 10 weeks to complete. Tim was easy to work with and has a keen sense of design that we really needed. He was able to put us in contact with outside design professionals to assist us in selecting the right cabinets, flooring, tile, etc. His crew are accomplished with very professional skills. (and I must say, very well mannered) They were dedicated to doing the job right and to my specifications. I am well pleased with the job, the workmanship, the relationship. In January 2020, I had my roof replaced by Cormier Construction. The cost was very reasonable for the quality of materials used and workmanship I received. While doing the roof replacement, the workman discovered a problem with some missing material underneath the siding on my dormers. They offered to repair it and gave me a price I thought was very well in line. I could not be more happy with the work they did, the way my roof looks, and the professional way they do their business. But Tim excelled at keeping all the balls in the air while directing the completion of each aspect of the remodel in a logical sequence, staying ahead of the next steps in order to schedule the appropriate subcontractors to keep the project moving without those types of delays. He treated his employees and subcontractors with respect and always sourced the best quality subs and vendors for each aspect of the job, all of whom were professional and enjoyable to work with. And finally, regardless of any obstacles that arose, Tim remained cool-headed and patient throughout our project (and I’m afraid I tested his patience on many occasions!)."

He and his crew renovated our entire first floor which included completely gutting and remodeling the kitchen, and reworking the layout of a bathroom and walk-in closet to create a powder room and a true full master bath. TIm was always patient with all our questions and really helped us through this process. He kept us informed of the work schedule and budget with frequent updates and always kept to his word. His crew was courteous and made every effort to keep the area as clean as possible. I highly recommend this company and will definitely call him again when we are ready for more.

My deck had some joists that needed replacing so I contacted Cormier Construction. Once they evaluated the deck it was clear that there was much more damage than a couple of rotten joists. The entire deck was replaced, joists were hung according to code, and the posts returned to level and straight. The Cormier team was very professional, highly skilled and meticulous in their work. At the end of every day there was no construction debris or trash left on my property.

Tim Cormier and his team built a fairly complex carport/entertaining area onto our 65+ year old home. Tim’s men were very diligent and respectful at all times. They did an excellent job cleaning up each day. I went into this project thinking that I would get a punctured tire since I parked in the work area each evening but no such issue arose. On more than one occasion, Tim was out until later in the evening cleaning up and spraying down the driveway. Tim was also great to bounce ideas off of and give his input from experience. We were very fortunate to choose Tim and we could not be happier with the job they did and the finished product.

When our kids moved out, we needed to bring our kitchen and living areas up-to-date. This involved a complete kitchen gut, new wood floors, popcorn ceiling removal, new lighting and paint throughout. We had some ideas, but were not 100% sure of our plans. During our first meeting with Tim Cormier, he jumped in and worked with us to help us flesh-out our vision for the remodel. He isn't afraid to give advice from his extensive construction experience, but he allowed us to make all the final decisions. We found his quote to be the most reasonable of the ones we received. I like the fact that his crew are not only skilled and knowledgeable, but also very courteous and trustworthy. They showed great care for the parts of our house that were not part of the remodel. We hired Tim and his crew after realizing there were only a short list of guys in the area that could do the type of renovation job we needed for our new house. We needed a big subway tile shower with multiple shower heads and body sprays, as well as another guest room bathroom renovation and multiple exterior upgrades to the house. With the nature of our loan there were many hoops to jump through that Tim was able to navigate beautifully, and it allowed us to save money in the end. He was always willing to listen to our concerns and communicate with us the progress of the job, which they finished under budget and a week ahead of when they said they were going to. We hired Cormier to replace our deck. We expanded the new deck out and added a roof. Tim was fantastic throughout the entire process. He provided detailed input on all our options for building materials, listened to what we were wanting out of our deck, and helped guide us in the details. He provided different quotes based on different materials and options we were considering. When we finalized which option to go with, Tim was quick to get things moving and very transparent about the entire process. He was constantly in contact with us to keep us informed about progress made and making sure we were happy with how things were going. The Cormier team worked quickly and professionally. The final product, a covered deck, is something we have been extremely happy with. We have had neighbors and guests compliment us on how it looks. My wife and I wanted a 10/x10' garden shed in our side yard, as well as a driveway add-on for guest parking. So I contacted a few local contractors for pricing on a 12'x12' concrete slab, as well as the 12'x20' driveway addition. After meeting with 2 contractors, I at least had a ballpark price for the job. But my wife wanted at least three quotes before we settled on someone. She found Cormier Construction on the BBB site, and asked Tim to quote the job. He not only gave us pricing, but offered idea's on how best to get a bang for our buck. We ended up not only getting our shed slab and driveway, he suggested that since we were already getting the better part of a full cement truck, why not add a short sidewalk between the two areas! And because his company does so many things, we had him quote on repairing some siding and flashing on our house where we'd get water leaking in heavy rains. Bottom line, Tim and crew did a great job, and within budget. And the topper? It was completed in less than a week! When we first met he said he couldn't promise how long the job would take to complete as its springtime, and a busy time for almost every contractor in the area. We couldn't be happier with his work and personality. He's a really nice guy, and that alone sold us before he even broke ground. He doesn't know it, but we'll use Cormier Construction for anything needed around our home from this day forward. No need for 3 quotes from anyone, just call Tim. You'll agree, he's the best in East Tennessee!

Tim built our new covered screened porch in late summer 2016 & did a wonderful job...we are very pleased. We got at least 4 quotes, and his was the most reasonable. He goes by all the city/county codes, got full inspections, didn't cut corners – quality workmanship and materials! He and his crew are very professional, courteous, and experienced. We went to look at another porch he had done in another subdivision & liked what we saw. Tim was either on site with the crew daily or came to check on them frequently. Worked with us without complaint to adjust and modify plans and made good suggestions. Cleaned up all debris when they were through. Came back after completion & fixed just a few minor things very quickly. We highly recommend Cormier Construction especially for porches, and any other remodeling you might need.

Cormier Construction was selected based on a recommendation from a friend, following a visit to their home to see first-hand the work Cormier had done for them. Our addition included removal of an existing deck, kitchen bay window, and a portion of the main building wall so that we could create a great room which tied into the kitchen, the dining room, and a hallway. We also changed an existing pantry/laundry area to a pantry only, and added a new laundry room adjacent to the great room. A new deck was added along the long side of the great room, and stairs down to the driveway. Below the entire addition we created a manufactured-stone patio. Tim Cormier is very organized in planning and executing his projects. Each and every day of the project, we were informed (usually the day before) of who to expect and what time to expect them. The construction crew was not only on-time every time, but also very courteous, efficient, and did not waste any time. Daily cleanup was done before leaving the work site. Materials and construction were of top-quality and were delivered to the site at the time they were needed. All other craft personnel (plumbing, electrical, and finish carpentry) were also excellent. Billing was timely, 100% accurate, and meticulously documented with receipts for every item utilized. Our project construction was initiated on August 5 and completed December 22, 2016. We could not be happier with our experience with Tim and every member of his organization. Truly a joy to have such competent individuals working in and around our home. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Tim Cormier and his crew built a beautiful open air covered porch addition to the back of our house. The quality of craftsmanship is exceptional and no detail was overlooked. Everyone who has seen our porch is amazed that is wasn’t built with the house. My family and I could not have asked for a better building experience than we received from Tim and his crew. We began by going through a selection of several builders for our project. We had many good options to choose from but found Tim’s combination of responsiveness, communication, expertise, demonstrated previous work, and overall project cost to be an easy choice. Once on board, Tim was very helpful in working with us to complete our design. We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted but Tim’s suggestions really helped optimize the end product. During the build phase, Tim and his crew were phenomenal. They were always on time, left the job site neat and in order at the end of each day, worked tirelessly through extreme heat, and made amazing progress. We were really impressed to see how much progress they made every day. Both Tim and his crew were very friendly and my whole family enjoyed talking with them every day. Since the project has been complete, Tim has followed up several times to make sure we are satisfied with the results and to assure his work is holding up to the elements. This has been above and beyond in my opinion. In summary, we could not be happier with the finished product or the process of getting there. I would highly recommend Cormier construction and plan to utilize them again myself in the future.

Tim Cormier and his team removed our old large, multilevel deck and built a YellaWood deck with black metal spindles between wood rails and a YellaWood dining table for the deck. They stained the table, the deck, and a wooden swing we had purchased earlier, all in a pretty, sunny natural oak color. They also removed rotten parts of the old skirt around the crawlspace of our sunroom and covered the skirt with plywood and then very realistic brick-look siding. The team built a door into the new crawlspace. As part of the project, they cut down some shrubbery and cleaned up and had carried away a lot of brush in the yard. Tim and his team were on time each day and were very courteous and easy to work with. As the project progressed, we made changes and additions, and those were accepted without complaint. When questions arose, we were able to discuss with Tim the best way to accomplish something we had not considered earlier. They provided quality workmanship and a beautiful finished product in a timely manner. We would recommend them to everyone.

Cormier Construction just completed a total backyard makeover for us. They built a deck addition to surround a 7-person hot tub and another deck addition to accommodate an outdoor grilling area. They installed new fencing, removed trees, and had the backyard graded and leveled for a swing set, fire pit area, and a play pad for corn hole. Our backyard looks like it belongs at a resort! We wanted several things done. A new roof for our Pergola, siding on the house, and a French door and porch patio put on. We got three estimates and Tim was the best. With his offer he gave a contract spelling out exactly what he was going to do and what it would cost. The other guys did not do this. The renovation to our master bathroom was a complete overhaul including designing the space to be updated and more efficient. He tore out walls, added a pocket door, new tile floors, new vanity and granite counter top, and larger glass enclosed shower. Tim Cormier had an eye for the design and after listening to what we envisioned made suggestions that made it better than we dreamed. The second project was the addition of a sun room where our deck had been and adding a new deck to the side. At our rental work included repairs to a ceiling that was collapsing, adding insulation, repairing siding on the outside and putting on a new roof. With each project he provided a written estimate, helped guide decisions when we needed help, always did what he said that he would do and made sure that we were happy with the outcome. We hired Cormier Construction on two different occasions, first to enclose, screen and customize our back porch. Because we live in a log home, much of the timbers needed to be customized to match our existing design. Tim and his crew were prompt, considerate and incredibly gifted craftsmen. The job was done as promised, on-time and on budget. Our next project was much larger, but we wouldn't consider anyone other than Cormier. We wanted a custom metal roof, new gutters, leaf guards, downspouts and new rock exterior around the foundation and a family room addition that was not part of the original log home. Despite the mess created when removing the old family room wood exterior, the job site was cleaned every day and never left untidy or unsafe. Tim scheduled his crews to keep on time but also be respectful of our family's need to continue to live in our home while undergoing the massive facelift. Again, the job was completed on-time and on budget, even though we had several areas that required new wood to replace rotten wood. We could not be happier not just because of the quality of work provided, or the caliber of the crew Tim supervised, but mostly because of the constant open and honest communication and step-by-step explanation Tim provided before, during and after the projects!
